Our ideal candidate is someone passionate about rehabilitative care and committed to enhancing patient outcomes through effective physical therapy practices.

About the Organization

At Well Resolve Therapy Assist Ltd, we pride ourselves on our holistic approach to patient care, specializing in therapeutic practices that promote recovery and enhance the quality of life. Located in the heart of Roseville, our facility is known for its collaborative environment, where physical therapists and assistants work hand-in-hand to provide personalized treatment plans. We are dedicated to fostering a community-focused atmosphere that prioritizes patient well-being and empowers staff to excel in their professional roles.

Work Environment

This PTA position is primarily onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility in Roseville, California. The treatment setting is fast-paced yet supportive, allowing PTAs to apply their skills in both outpatient orthopedic practices and general rehabilitation. With a typical working schedule of Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, the role offers a balanced work-life dynamic while ensuring consistent patient interaction and care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of treatment plans as designed by licensed physical therapists, ensuring adherence to best practices and patient-centered care.
  • Conduct patient assessments, documenting baseline data and observations to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary for optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Effectively educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, and the significance of adhering to treatment protocols.
  • Perform hands-on interventions that may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, under the direction of physical therapists.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient progress in our electronic health record (EHR) system, tracking interventions and outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, including physicians, nursing staff, and occupational therapists, to address any barriers to patient progress.
  • Address any patient care issues by communicating directly with the supervising physical therapist to devise appropriate solutions.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training, staying current with developments in physical therapy practices and compliance standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will interact primarily with patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. The patient volume is approximately 1-2 patients per hour, allowing for focused and individualized care while fostering deeper therapeutic relationships. This thoughtful engagement not only aids in acute recovery but also emphasizes preventative care and ongoing wellness.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant curriculum.
  • Possession of a current and active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of California.
  • Strong understanding of physical therapy practices, with demonstrated ability to perform targeted therapeutic interventions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitating effective interactions with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, ideally with exposure to diverse therapeutic modalities and sports rehabilitation.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems to ensure smooth documentation and patient tracking.
  • A proactive approach to care that demonstrates compassion, empathy, and a commitment to improving patient health outcomes.
