Your New Role

• Prepare detailed project estimates using landscape, civil, and architectural plans

• Perform quantity takeoffs and verify project information as needed

• Develop pricing for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and project logistics

• Use Sage Estimating and digital takeoff software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar platforms

• Request and evaluate vendor pricing and subcontractor proposals

• Coordinate procurement planning and material buyouts

• Identify scope gaps, project risks, exclusions, and long-lead materials

• Support value engineering efforts and change order pricing

• Maintain estimating records, pricing databases, templates, and documentation

• Work closely with design, sales, procurement, and production teams to support successful project delivery

• Assist with job costing and continuous improvement of estimating processes

• 3+ years of direct estimating experience in landscape construction, sitework, high-end residential, or design-build projects; candidates with 3–5 years of experience may be considered, while a seasoned, industry-specific estimating background is preferred

• Direct experience estimating landscape construction scopes such as hardscape, irrigation, drainage, outdoor living, and sitework

• Experience independently preparing detailed estimates and quantity takeoffs using digital estimating workflows

• Ability to read and interpret landscape, civil, and architectural plans and specifications

• Knowledge of landscape construction methods, sequencing, material procurement, and project budgeting

• Experience with Sage Estimating and On-Screen Takeoff is preferred, not required

• Experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar estimating and takeoff software is preferred

• Familiarity with Sage 300 CRE is a plus

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines effectively

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills

• Ability to visit project sites when necessary

• Reliable daily commute to the Far Hills, New Jersey office
