Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Join Novant Health Sleep Medicine Matthews as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and help provide compassionate, personalized care to patients. This role is ideal for candidates with previous experience working with neurology patients or in a medical office setting, though motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply!

What We're Looking For:

• Education: High School or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement.
• Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.
• Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.

What You'll Do:

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and other relevant clinical information.
• Assist providers with in-office procedures, including Botox treatments and other patient care activities.
• Complete and maintain accurate patient documentation, forms, and medical records.
• Communicate effectively with providers and patients to coordinate care, address questions, and ensure a positive patient experience.
