- Represents Fort Bend County in general civil matters/civil actions, not litigation, as required.
- Drafts and reviews legal documents such as contracts, agreements and resolutions and may participate in negotiations related to such documents.
- Conducts legal research.
- Drafts and reviews documents related to real estate transactions.
- Issues legal opinions to elected officials and directors/managers.
- Responds to requests for information under the Texas Public Information Act.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Doctor of Jurisprudence; Licensed by the Texas Supreme Court.
- 4 years job related experience required. Prior government experience and real estate experience desirable.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the
- public, elected officials and department directors/managers.
SALARY RANGE: $51.29 - $64.12 hourly based on qualifications
CLOSING DATE: Upon filling positions
