Job Title: Manager of Patient Experience

Compensation
Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000 per year

Location: Nassau County, Long Island, NY - Onsite

Position Summary

As the Manager of Patient Experience, you will lead and oversee initiatives designed to enhance patient satisfaction, engagement, and person-centered care across a large hospital system. Reporting to the Director of Patient Experience, this role is responsible for supervising the Patient Experience Specialist team, driving service excellence initiatives, and fostering a culture centered on empathy, dignity, and respect. You will collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to improve patient outcomes and ensure an exceptional patient experience throughout the healthcare journey.

Responsibilities

Schedule / Shift

  • Shift details: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Hours per week: 40
  • Contract length (if applicable): Direct Hire

Key Duties:

  • Supervise and manage the Patient Experience Specialist team while overseeing daily patient satisfaction and feedback programs
  • Lead Person-Centered Care initiatives aligned with Planetree International principles and Age-Friendly Health System 4Ms Framework
  • Analyze patient satisfaction metrics and implement performance improvement strategies to enhance the patient experience
  • Manage patient advocacy, grievance resolution, and service recovery processes to ensure timely and compassionate responses
  • Facilitate staff training, coaching, and educational programs focused on service excellence, empathy, and patient-centered care

Requirements

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field
  • Preferred (if applicable): Master’s Degree

Licenses & Certifications

  • Required: N/A
  • Additional certifications (if applicable): Experience with Planetree International and Age-Friendly Health Systems preferred

  • Expertise in patient satisfaction analytics and performance improvement methodologies
