Salary: $235,000 - $285,000 per year
A bit about us:
We are working with an established behavioral health organization that has spent nearly three decades bringing psychiatric services directly to patients throughout Connecticut.
The organization partners with approximately 125 Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living and behavioral health facilities. Rather than expecting older adults and medically complex residents to navigate a fragmented outpatient system, its psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners and social workers bring care directly into the buildings where patients live.
This is not one of those organizations where a psychiatrist is handed a list of unfamiliar facilities, wished good luck and left to figure out the rest. Clinical leadership, social work, facility staff and administration are already involved in the patient-care model.
Ask leadership what makes the environment work and the answer is straightforward: providers are paid fairly, given flexibility and supported when problems arise. You should not need three meetings, four approvals and a carrier pigeon to get an operational issue resolved.
Why join us?
- $235K–$285K salary or $175–$200/hour/fee-for-service • Full-time, part-time, PRN or 1099 • No weekends or holidays • Flexible weekdays • 1–2 facilities daily • Established caseload • Malpractice covered
• Earn $235,000–$285,000 annually in a full-time salaried position
• PRN and 1099 compensation of $175–$200 per hour, depending on schedule, experience and expected production
• Fee-for-service options available for psychiatrists who prefer compensation based on completed patient services
• Choose the arrangement that fits your life: full-time, part-time, PRN, 1099 or fee-for-service
• No weekend or holiday coverage, allowing you to protect time that many physician roles quietly consume
• Weekday call responsibilities are limited to approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Visit only one or two facilities per day rather than spending the entire day driving across Connecticut
• Work within a concentrated Fairfield County territory extending from the Norwalk and Fairfield areas toward Danbury
• Step into an established patient population as the longtime psychiatrist currently covering the territory prepares to retire
• Typical facility volume is approximately 12–15 patients, depending on census, schedule and employment structure
• The organization already maintains relationships with the facilities—you are not being asked to build a practice from zero
• Collaborate with social workers, facility nursing teams, psychiatric providers and clinical leadership
• Four weeks of vacation and six paid holidays for eligible full-time employees
• Employer-paid malpractice coverage provided
• Receive a company phone and laptop after 30 days
• Mileage reimbursement provided when daily travel exceeds 30 miles
• Receive a 3% retirement contribution after one year of service
• Continuing education support increases with tenure, beginning at $500 and growing to $1,500
