Full job description
You’ll also play a key role in enhancing Avalere’s offerings through your specialised US healthcare knowledge, applying your subject matter expertise and broader understanding of the healthcare landscape to collaborate across teams and connect work across the practice. Over time, you’ll develop as a trusted resource for both colleagues and clients, contributing to high-quality, insight-driven work.
What you'll do
- Apply statistical, epidemiological, and/or econometric expertise to research and client deliverables.
- Collaborate with programmers, statisticians, and other researchers to analyze large US healthcare datasets (e.g., patient or claims data) to uncover insights and inform strategy.
- Create compelling, client-ready presentations and reports that tell a clear and engaging story.
- Contribute to scientific publications, conference materials, and thought leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
- Take ownership of multiple project workstreams, managing budgets, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication with minimal oversight.
- Lead and contribute to client meetings, presenting deliverables and shaping next steps.
- Support day-to-day client engagement, helping to manage expectations and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Support business development through proposals, contributing to scopes of work, and identifying opportunities for growth within client accounts.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to support the development of junior team members.
- Develop subject matter expertise and contribute as a trusted resource internally and externally.
- Stay up to date with US healthcare trends to bring fresh, relevant perspectives to your work.
About you
Advanced degree (MA/MS or PhD) in a relevant field such as epidemiology, health economics, public health, statistics, or similar
Minimum 5 years’ consulting, healthcare, or pharmaceutical/device industry work experience
Strong analytical skills with experience working with US healthcare data (claims or EHR data highly valued)
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines
A collaborative mindset and confidence working in cross-functional teams
A proactive, curious approach with a passion for improving healthcare outcomes
Experience presenting research results at scientific conferences and/or a record of peer-review publications
