Key Responsibilities
Support physical therapists by implementing individualized therapy programs tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient under direct supervision.
Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, reporting findings back to the supervising therapist to ensure that treatment goals are being met.
Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff alike.
Engage positively with patients during therapy sessions, providing encouragement, motivation, and guidance throughout their rehabilitation exercises.
Educate patients and their families on proper techniques, postural practices, and home exercises to enhance recovery outcomes.
Exhibit exceptional customer service skills, managing patient interactions with professionalism while maintaining a welcoming environment.
Adhere to productivity standards to be eligible for performance bonuses, demonstrating a commitment to delivering quantifiable outcomes for patient rehabilitation.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and conditions affecting mobility and function. You will assist diverse groups, from post-operative patients eager to regain their strength to individuals dealing with chronic pain or limited mobility. Experience with vestibular, balance, and neurological rehabilitation would be advantageous but is not mandatory, as we also support newly graduated professionals keen to make a difference.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
Current Florida State licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and empower them in their rehabilitation journey.
Capability to work autonomously while maintaining a collaborative relationship with therapists.
A positive attitude and readiness to embrace a challenge, fostering a supportive and drama-free workplace culture.
Preferred Experience
While a minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic or neurological setting is preferred, we welcome passionate new graduates to apply. Experience in vestibular rehabilitation is valuable, but the willingness to learn and develop professionally is equally important.
Compensation and Benefits
Emerald Valley PT offers a competitive salary range from $60,000 to $75,000, complemented by a robust benefits package that includes comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid time off (PTO), and holidays.
