Position Responsibilities
The OBGYN Generalist Division has an outstanding opportunity at the level of Teaching Associate for a full scope outpatient OBGYN Advanced Practice Provider. This is a full-time, 12-month (July 1 - June 30) academic position with annual reappointment. An ARNP/PA-C is a certified physician assistant or advanced registered nurse practitioner who provides evaluation and medical management to OBGYN patients. The successful candidate would have experience providing comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care, including first trimester ultrasound, and outpatient gynecologic health care including preventative health maintenance visits, office visits for common gynecologic conditions, and contraception. Clinical teaching experience and experience collaborating with the clinical team is valued. This teaching associate would work with our generalist faculty to provide full-scope ARNP/PA clinical services for obstetrics & gynecologic clinics.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated excellence working in an interdisciplinary, collaborative team environment, as well as strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise in patient care.
This opportunity will be predominantly at the UW Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic in Ballard and may occasionally include support at other UWMC Northwest Clinics as needed. UWMC Northwest Ob/Gyn encompasses three clinics in North Seattle at Ballard, Shoreline, and UWMC Northwest. The successful candidate will support urgent and return visits for gynecological and obstetric visits, and a candidate with prior experience in providing OBGYN care is highly desired due to the complexity of the patients.
As a regional leader, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology clinics at the University of Washington offer comprehensive obstetrics and gynecologic care. We care for pregnant patients from the region who choose the University of Washington Medical Center Northwest Campus for their delivery. UW Medical Center - Northwest is a full-service, non-profit hospital, with 381 beds, on a patient-friendly, easy-access campus in north Seattle. Our campus has the size and character of a smaller community hospital, but as part of the University of Washington Medical Center, the top-rated hospital in Washington State, we have access to all the resources of a leading academic medical center.
This position is not eligible for visa or permanent residence sponsorship.
