Associate Attorney Opportunities – Portland, OR

Associate Attorney Benefits & Compensation
- Competitive base salary ranging from $147,000–$325,000 based on role and experience

Associate Attorney Requirements & Qualifications
- Required experience by practice area:
- Construction Transactions & Litigation:
3+ years
in construction contracts and litigation
- Emerging Companies & Venture Capital:
2–4 years
transactional experience
- Employment Litigation:
5+ years
of employment litigation; Oregon Bar preferred
- Government Contracts:
3–6 years
advising on federal procurement and grants
- Labor:
4–6 years
in labor relations and workplace disputes
- Mergers & Acquisitions:
3–5 years
supporting M&A transactions
- Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation, and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Associate Attorney Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience with multi-jurisdictional matters or national clients
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations such as construction, startups, or federal contracting
- Demonstrated commitment to client service and ongoing professional growth
Associate Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Advise clients and draft legal documents for assigned practice group
- Oversee or support litigation, transactions, or regulatory matters from inception to resolution
- Negotiate agreements, representing clients’ interests effectively
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and firm leaders on complex legal issues
- Build strong client relationships and participate in business development
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing, teamwork, and diversity initiatives
