We’re looking for an effective, business-minded HR professional who can build trust with leaders and employees, navigate complex employee relations matters, and translate HR practices into practical solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to use HR data and insights to strengthen engagement, development, retention, and the overall employee experience.

Compensation: $70,000–$80,000/year
What You’ll Do
This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible HR leadership role supporting an entire campus of 100+ employees. You’ll work directly with the Senior Vice President overseeing the campus while partnering with dealership leaders to shape the employee experience, solve complex people challenges, and support the continued growth of the business.
  • Serve as the primary HR partner for a 100+ employee campus, providing hands-on guidance and support to leaders and employees across multiple dealerships.
  • Partner directly with the Senior Vice President and dealership leadership to align people strategies with business goals and provide thoughtful guidance on complex employee matters.
  • Coach leaders through performance, employee relations, investigations, difficult conversations, and progressive discipline, helping leaders make confident, informed decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen engagement, development, and retention, including succession planning, career growth, high-performer development, and leadership support.
  • Lead and influence HR initiatives and projects, partnering with Recruiting, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, DE&I, Safety & Risk, Legal, and other teams to deliver solutions that support the business.
  • Use HR data, reporting, and employee insights to identify trends and opportunities, helping leaders make informed decisions and continuously improve the employee experience.
  • Be a trusted resource for employees and leaders, interpreting company policies, navigating leave and unemployment matters, addressing concerns, and ensuring consistent application of Walser practices.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field; or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and employment law.
  • Proven ability to build credibility and influence with leaders at all levels.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect HR strategy to operational needs.
  • Experience handling complex employee relations matters, investigations, performance management, and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent judgment, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with HR systems, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
