Job Summary
The Corporate Counsel partners with Sales and Operations teams to draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts that accurately reflect the business relationship and services to be provided and appropriately mitigates risk for the Company. The Corporate Counsel will provide legal advice to internal departments on operation and compliance matters, ensuring the company adheres to relevant laws and regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Legal Advice & Strategy: Understand each service line’s business needs and objectives and conduct contract strategy meetings to identify issues and client requirements and obtain management input on timing and deliverables. Engage internal stakeholders in decisions involving contractual requirements, legal or regulatory requirements, and operational impact.
- Communications: Communicate effectively with sales team, and with internal and external clients
- Drafting and Reviewing: Draft and review contractual provisions (some complex) based on strategy discussions, business input, and Company needs and guidelines.
- Negotiation: Negotiate legal terms to align with business goals and in accordance with Company guidelines while mitigating risks for the Company.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure that applicable Company contract policies are up to date and adhered to.
- Contract Templates: Ensure that all Company contract templates and forms are up to date and accessible to sales teams.
- Training: Serve as primary advisor to internal clients, including the sales divisions, for all issues regarding internal process, policy and training relating to contracts. Develop and conduct training for internal stakeholders or business partners.

Qualifications
Education & Years of Experience
Bachelors’ Degree
Juris Doctor Degree
Admission to Texas Bar or ability to receive foreign legal consultant registration in Texas
Additional Experience
- 7-10 years’ experience within a corporate setting or law firm drafting and negotiating commercial and technology contracts is required
- Experience with healthcare staffing, workforce solutions, or HR related contracts.
- Preferred: Experience supporting a public company environment
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in an office/home office environment.
- Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

Pay Rate
$140,000 - $166,000 SalaryFinal pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
