Forsyth Medical Center is a tertiary care facility serving patients from 15 counties. The ED handles a high patient volume, averaging 190 to 240 visits daily, and provides comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, from infants to geriatrics. Common cases include, but are not limited to, cardiac emergencies, respiratory conditions, non-compliant COPD, diabetic crises, and behavioral health concerns.

* Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
- If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
* Experience: One year of acute nursing experience required.
* Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.

As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN), you'll be at the forefront of patient care, providing rapid assessment, critical thinking, and compassionate care to patients experiencing medical emergencies. Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you'll care for patients of all ages with a wide variety of illnesses and injuries—from minor conditions to life-threatening emergencies.
