About The Role:
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside experienced engineers to assist in designing, setting up, and operating test stands, learning the fundamentals of propulsion system testing.
- Help instrument test setups, monitor test conditions, and analyze performance data to contribute to system improvements and troubleshooting efforts.
- Partner with engineers and technicians to refine test processes, enhance safety procedures, and develop a deeper understanding of propulsion systems in a real-world testing environment.
Requirements:
- Practical experience designing, building, and testing vehicles through internships, studies or projects.
- Must be currently enrolled in a STEM program at an accredited college or university (undergraduate student in your third or fourth year of study, or enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program).
- Strong interest in propulsion systems and testing.
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams.
- Enthusiasm for aviation and Hermeus's mission.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
The hourly rate listed for this internship is intended as a general guideline. Final compensation will be determined based on degree level.
