About the Role:
The Learning Experience in Riverton, NJ is looking for a passionate and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join their team! Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate, engaging lesson plans for toddler-aged children
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
- Monitor and support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child
- Communicate daily with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and activities
- Maintain accurate developmental records and observations for each student
- Ensure classroom cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support a positive learning community
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Previous experience working with toddlers or in an early childhood setting
- Knowledge of child development milestones and developmentally appropriate practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check in accordance with state licensing requirements
- Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children
