Job Description:
TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. has an opening in its Anderson, SC office for a Transportation Analyst. The Transportation Analyst supports domestic and international transportation operations by optimizing carrier selection, managing freight spend, monitoring transportation performance, ensuring customs compliance, and providing analytical support to supply chain operations. This role partners closely with distribution, supply chain, sales, finance, customs brokers, and transportation providers to ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods throughout the supply chain.

Primary Responsibilities
Contact air, ocean, and surface transportation carriers to secure the most cost-effective carrier selection for standard and expedited shipments while ensuring required management approvals are obtained.
Review invoices from ocean carriers, trucking companies, and international freight forwarders. Research discrepancies and attach supporting documentation prior to submission to the Sr. Director of Transportation.
Develop and maintain carrier performance scorecards and transportation databases to track key performance indicators (KPIs), including cost per mile, on-time delivery performance, freight cost, carrier utilization, and service performance.
Analyze transportation processes and identify opportunities for cost savings, service improvements, and operational efficiencies.
Update and distribute inbound container information to appropriate stakeholders while monitoring potential demurrage and detention charges. Communicate potential costs to warehouse and supply chain personnel and prepare monthly management reports.
Evaluate the current carrier network and recommend changes as necessary to ensure adequate capacity, service levels, and cost competitiveness.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide freight cost estimates for new projects, product launches, and operational initiatives.
Coordinate export shipments with ocean carriers and air freight forwarders, including preparation and review of required shipping documentation.
Partner with supply chain teams, booking agents, steamship lines, and transportation providers to coordinate container diversions and provide status updates on inbound shipments.
Assist with domestic and international transportation, customs compliance, and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant transportation or supply chain experience may be considered.
Three (3) or more years of transportation, logistics, customs compliance, supply chain, or related experience required.
Experience managing ocean, air, truckload, LTL, parcel, and intermodal transportation.
Knowledge of Incoterms, import/export procedures, and international trade practices.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis tools.
Experience working with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and ocean carriers.
Working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments as business needs require.
