Opportunity Snapshot Location: Mason City, Iowa Contract Type: Emergency Medicine Locum Tenens Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing Schedule: 7–10 shifts per month EMR: Cerner Facility Overview Regional medical center serving northern Iowa 35,000 annual ED visits Level III Trauma Center Full-service hospital with specialty backup Established emergency medicine program This facility functions as a regional hub , providing comprehensive emergency care with access to specialty services when needed. Shift Structure Physicians must be flexible across multiple shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Swing and night shift availability required. Clinical Environment Physicians will work alongside a collaborative care team including: APP coverage: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM Support staff and nursing team Efficient patient flow with moderate acuity This ED offers a balanced mix of cases with manageable admissions and strong operational support.
