Full job description
Position Summary:
The Brake & Roll Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating brake press and roll press equipment to fabricate high-quality metal components according to engineering specifications. This role requires the ability to interpret blueprints, configure bend allowances, verify dimensional accuracy, and maintain efficient production output while adhering to all safety and quality standards.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of brake press and/or roll press operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior metal fabrication experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of dimensional tolerances and quality inspection methods.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Basic mathematical skills, including fractions, decimals, and measurements.
- Experience working with stainless steel fabrication.
- Experience operating laser cutting machines and/or plasma cutting systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 70 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to use hands and arms to grasp, handle, and manipulate tools, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to climb stairs and work safely around industrial machinery.
- Ability to work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
