Schedule Details/Additional Information:

Education

• Minimum Requirement: High school graduate or equivalent

Certification/Licensure (including annual requirements)

• Minimum Requirement: Current NC CNA listing; current CPR, AEGIS De Escalation Training within 3 months of Hire

Experience (Years/Type)

• Preferred at Hire: One year experience in hospital setting, preferably critical care

Equipment (Experience and/or Training)

• Minimum Requirement: As Applicable

Computer Skills (Hardware & Software)

• Minimum Requirement: Basic computer and Internet Explorer skills.

Other Skills and Competencies

• Minimum Requirement: Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Diplomacy, tact, and a positive approach to problem solving are required to be successful. Organizational skills are a must. Fosters a teamwork environment. Must be able to communicate with patients, customers, other departments, and staff in an articulate manner.

Job Description:

The ERT performs selected patient care tasks, under the direction of a licensed nurse, to assist in the delivery of patient care. She/he also performs, when necessary, clerical duties and assists the Emergency Center staff in maintaining records and completing reports. He/she coordinates communications between Emergency Center staff, the patient, and interdisciplinary departments. Is accountable for all patient care she/he gives in the Emergency Center.
