As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Abilene, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post calls for a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification in Texas. You will support a welcoming environment through strong communication, customer service, teamwork, and integrity while responding to site needs with agility and care.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, surrounding property, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and/or delivery zones to help support access control, asset protection efforts, and adherence to site rules and post orders.
• Assist with handling customer concerns, trespass issues, and/or disorderly behavior in a professional manner while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
