Full job description
This individual will support the AFS Project Accounting function within the Controllership organization. They will be responsible for reading and understanding AFS's contracts and appropriately setting up contracts in Deltek Costpoint based on their knowledge of Costpoint and AFS's business. This includes leveraging ServiceNow to initiate and manage project setup requests, ensuring seamless and compliant creation of projects within Costpoint based on a strong understanding of both the system and AFS business requirements. This individual will also work closely to coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure agreement on key contract terms and conditions for project setup.
This role will also supervise day-to-day activities of a team of project setup analysts. This includes training on project setup processes, review and approval of project setup actions prior to completion in the accounting system, and providing real-time performance feedback. This position will also track metrics around the project setup process and report to Controllership leadership on results.
What you need
- US Citizenship required
- 2-3 years of experience reading and interpreting government contracts (FFP, T&M, and Cost Type)
- 1-2 years of Deltek Costpoint, providing project setup/accounting support in a U.S. Federal government contractor environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Supervisory experience

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
