Full job description

Aya Locums is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens assignment at a Level II Trauma community hospital in McHenry, Illinois , approximately one hour from Chicago. This is a well-supported, fast-moving assignment with consistent scheduling and a strong care team model.

Assignment Details
  • Start Date: Late March (urgent coverage need)

  • Schedule: 4x10s, Monday Friday

  • Hours: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)

  • Coverage Requirement: Minimum 2 weeks per month

  • Contract Length: Ongoing

  • Practice Model: Medical Direction

  • EMR: Epic

Case Mix
  • Neuro, vascular, thoracic, and general surgery

  • GYN and urology

  • Interventional GI

  • Cardiology testing / EP

  • Regional blocks

  • No OB epidurals

  • CRNAs typically do not participate in cardiac cases

  • Healthy pediatric cases are rare and referred to a sister facility

Facility & Support
  • Level II Trauma community hospital

  • 9 11 anesthesiologists per shift

  • Anesthesia techs on staff

  • Suburban/rural patient population

Requirements
  • Active Illinois CRNA license (must be in hand)

  • Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience

  • Epic EMR experience required

  • Prior Northwestern employees cannot be submitted (exceptions reviewed individually)
