Novant Health Cotswold Medical clinic is hiring a Full- Time Certified Medical Assistant. As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will play a vital role in coordinating clinical care and assisting providers to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective healthcare for patients across all stages of life. What We're Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including:
- • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA)
- • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA)
- • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP
- ) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA).
- If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement, required.
- Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.
- Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
- Partner with providers to deliver outstanding patient care and support efficient clinic operations.
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and updating electronic medical records.
- Perform clinical procedures within scope of practice, including injections, immunizations, medication administration, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection.
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure timely, efficient visits while maintaining a positive patient experience.
- Assist with prescription refills, referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up care.
