Position Overview

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team at Athletics Therapy Center located in Ashburn, Virginia. This full-time position supports individuals in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting, focusing on patient recovery, mobility enhancement, and overall well-being. Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and deliver rehabilitative care strategies as prescribed by a licensed Physical Therapist, ensuring adherence to individualized treatment plans.
  • Assist patients with a variety of therapeutic exercises and mobility training, providing guidance on techniques to enhance functional movement and independence.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, communicating changes and developments effectively to the therapeutic and nursing teams.
  • Educate patients and their families about home exercise routines and safety practices, promoting understanding and adherence to therapy protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with all documentation standards, contributing actively to care planning and evaluations.
  • Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere for residents that motivates them throughout their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with elderly patients recovering from surgeries, strokes, and other debilitating conditions that impact mobility and independence. Qualifications

  • An Associate’s Degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • A valid Virginia PTA license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Virginia.
