Position Details:

Mercy Hospital Springfield - Emergency Department Radiology

Full-Time: W/E (Friday - Sunday)

11:00AM to 11:30PM

Overview :

The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to support patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, upholding high-quality imaging standards, and maintaining accurate records and documentation of procedures and findings. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care.

• Education : Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
• Experience : One (1) year of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree program
• Licensure : State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
• Certification/Registration : American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-Radiography (ARRT(R)); Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities :

• Proficiency in operating radiographic imaging equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Physical Requirements :

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
