Non-Registered Radiologic Technologist
St. Joseph Hospital – Denver, CO
Status: PRN
Pay Rate: $20.67/hour
Position Summary:
St. Joseph Hospital is seeking a Non-Registered Radiologic Technologist to join our team on a PRN basis. This role supports the imaging department by performing basic radiographic procedures under supervision while working toward registry and meeting departmental standards for patient care, safety, and quality.
Essential Functions:
- Perform routine radiographic exams as delegated and under appropriate supervision
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during procedures
- Follow established imaging protocols and radiation safety guidelines
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in the appropriate systems
- Collaborate with radiologists, registered technologists, and care team members to support workflow
Qualifications:
- Completion of or current enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
- Registry eligible (ARRT) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (or obtained within required timeframe)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
Schedule:
- PRN, as needed to support department coverage

Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
