Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on orthopedic patients, who may be recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting mobility and function. You will work with a diverse demographic that includes post-operative rehabilitation patients, athletes recovering from sports injuries, and individuals with degenerative musculoskeletal disorders. This will involve developing a rapport with patients to better understand their specific challenges and goals, thereby enhancing their recovery experience.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or an accredited Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant state license for New York.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic setting is required, demonstrating proficiency in rehabilitative techniques.
