1st Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday 5:15am - 3:45pm

The Material Handler is responsible for performing tasks involving the shipping and receiving finished materials.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Operating mechanical forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock picker lift trucks.
  • Operating and maintaining RF Scanner (handheld warehouse computer).
  • Accurate and timely selecting of orders  
  • Accurately completing work order sheets.  
  • Notify supervisor or FSQ of discrepancies.
  • Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper storing and use.
  • Distribute the items received to the person or department for which the item was ordered.
  • Daily shipments must be picked, counts verified, pallets wrapped or stacked neatly for pick-ups, marked accordingly to customer, transportation and location of shipment.
  • Load finished goods onto trailer within specified timeframe.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of finished products and supplies in the warehouse.
  • Safety Operate a Forklift, Pallet Jack, and/or Strait Truck
  • Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training, along with company pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s).
  • Cleaning and maintaining warehouse floor and facilities as needed. 
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
  • Following set company and OSHA safety rules, regulations, and guidelines at all times.

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred.

Preferred:       

  • 1-3 Months related manufacturing or food experience, preferred.
  • Knowledge of warehouse and lift trucks experience.
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain, purchasing, materials, and/or Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of SAP.

The starting rate for this role is $20 (Hourly). Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. The hourly range for this role is $XX.00 to $XX.00 (Hourly). Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is a plant setting with wet/slippery floors, varying degrees of temperatures with an average temperature of 40 degrees in the production area. Team Members will be exposed to raw and/or cooked meat products and moving equipment and will be required to follow all Food Safety Quality requirements
