Board Function and Purpose of Position:

Maintenance Spare Parts Coordinator is responsible for the overall asset (including but not limited to Spare parts, fluids, tools and consumables, etc. Inventory management system for the site. This position is also responsible for managing day-to-day storeroom operations, maintaining parts data accuracy etc. 

Specific Responsibilities:

Responsible for setup, automation, and optimization of reports utilized for trending, and operational measures and publish maintenance spare parts KPI metrics to the management team; interpret data and recommend findings.

  • Assists with project planning and coordination.
  • Develops and recommends policies and procedures for best practices with use of inventory management.
  • Works with team on continuous improvement initiatives specific to inventory, asset, and labor management.
  • Communicates with outside contractor on status of work.

Expected Outputs:

  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite “EXCEL”
  • Proficient communication skills.
  • Able to build Parts Kits for Work orders.
  • Enter purchase requestions and maintain records of parts ordered.
  • Maintain and order tooling supplies as needed.
  • Maintains an organized and labeled, accurate M&R Storeroom with an appropriate and adequate supply of inventory and parts.
  • Must show ability to be part of a team in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Maintains an organized, accurate and spare parts order tracking system.
  • Direct weekly planning meetings with operations, scheduling, and Maintenance supervisor and Manager.

  • Education Required: High School Diploma
  • Experience Required: Manufacturing experience preferred, experience in spare parts management.
  • Professional License or Certificate Requirements: Forklift Certified
  • Specific skills, knowledge and abilities required: Knowledge in inventory management, SAP, and 5s
