Advanced Pump and Equipment, a UFT company, is the leading provider of water and wastewater equipment in the Northern Rockies and Northern Plains. We are dedicated to assisting each and every client in determining their water or wastewater management system needs. Our Products Include: Engineered Pumps, Controls & SCADA, Treatment & Process Equipment, and more.

The Territory Sales Manager will serve as a technical consultant and is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and managing existing accounts within Idaho. This is an outside sales position that involves regular interaction with engineering consultants, municipal water and wastewater plant personnel, industrial plant personnel and contractors. Direct sales and plant-level activities require in-person consultation, product demonstrations, troubleshooting, and problem-solving expertise.


What you'll do:

  • Actively prospect and secure capital improvement projects and new accounts within the municipal and industrial markets across Idaho.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct site visits and equipment audits to recommend optimal pump and equipment solutions based on flow, head, and fluid properties.
  • Work with the internal engineering and support teams to prepare technical quotes and competitive project bids.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and regional project developments (e.g., municipal infrastructure upgrades).
  • Utilize CRM for all prospecting and customer activities.
  • Attend product and selling skills seminars and participate in local industry associations and tradeshows.

What you bring:

  • 3+ years of outside sales experience in municipal, industrial equipment, pumps, or a related mechanical field required. In lieu of sales experience, candidates that have experience working in water/ wastewater treatment plants may be considered.
  • Experience includes working with consulting engineers, plant personnel, and end users.
  •  Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Ability to read blueprints/schematics and understand fluid dynamics or mechanical systems.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote territory.
  • Ability to travel throughout Idaho for client meetings and site inspections.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record is required.
