Department: Peds Naples Urgent Care Clinic
Work Type: Full Time
Shift: Shift 1/9:30:00AM to 8:00:00PM / 4x10 shifts - variable week days / Will work every other weekend + holidays
Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$20.52 - $25.65 / hour

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following pathways:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program within the last two years; or
- Active Medical Assistant certification: CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), or RMA (AMT); or
- At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience within the last 4 years
This position specifically requires:
- 3 years of Medical Assistant experience within the last 4 years
- Hands-on injection experience
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work confidently in a pediatric urgent care environment

Sign-On Bonus
Eligible Medical Assistant candidates may receive a $3,500 sign-on bonus, plus an additional $1,500 for qualifying candidates who start within 30 days up to $5,000 total.
Sign-on bonus requires a two-year commitment to a qualifying Medical Assistant position. Applicable terms and eligibility requirements apply.
Relocation Assistance
Eligible candidates relocating from more than 50 miles away may qualify for a $5,000 relocation package.

The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing an excellent customer experience in a team-based environment while assisting in all aspects of medical practice under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician or physician assistant. This position is responsible for patient safety, performing phlebotomy, point of care testing, assisting in minor procedures, processing lab specimens, safe operation of medical equipment, provides patient instructions, and for handling and administering medications according to regulatory standards and organizational policy and procedure under the direct supervision of a physician or physician assistant. This position is responsible for the collection, communication and documentation of accurate patient information/data and maintaining medical records according to regulatory standards and organizational policies and procedures. Other responsibilities include coordinating requests for information and prescriptions, maintain and preparing patient care areas to ensure efficient, effective and safe patient care delivery. Late hours, holidays and weekends may be required. Other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor of the department. This position is required to float to all LPG and Hospital Outpatient Department locations across four counties.
Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED Required. Completion of a medical assisting program or postsecondary medical assisting program accredited to prepare the medical assistant to take national AAMA (American Association of Medical Assisting), CCMA (National Health Career Association), or RMA (American Medical Technologists) medical assistant certification exam preferred.
Experience: 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in a physicians office or hospital outpatient department with medication administration with injection experience required.
Certification: AAMA (American Association of Medical Assisting), CCMA (National Health career Association), RMA (American Medical Technologists) preferred. BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) required (must be obtained within first 90 days of hire).
License: N/A
Other: Medical terminology, communication skills and basic knowledge of computers required. Early/late hours and/or weekends may be required.
