Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Resurge Rehab & Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans designed to restore function and alleviate pain.
• Conducting therapeutic exercises and manual techniques under supervision, ensuring that each patient receives personalized care.
• Monitoring patient progress, noting responses during therapy sessions, and providing essential feedback to the supervising PT.
• Developing and motivating patients to adhere to prescribed home exercise programs, enhancing their recovery outside of clinical sessions.
• Documenting treatment sessions and patient progress in a timely manner, aligning with legal standards and clinic protocols.
• Creating a welcoming and positive environment for patients, using effective communication to build trust and encourage active participation in their rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The majority of our clientele comprises individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Our focus is primarily on providing targeted rehabilitation for patients who are eager to regain their mobility and return to daily activities. As a PTA, you will engage with diverse patient demographics, employing evidence-based practices to address a wide variety of physical limitations and goals.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
• Possession of an active Virginia PTA license or eligibility for licensure.
• Certification in CPR/BLS to ensure patient safety and emergency readiness.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on effective communication and teamwork.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a highly competitive compensation package ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, our benefits include:
