Weekend Requirements: As Needed | Work Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Mon - Fri mostly | Status: Full Time - 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) | Entity: Owensboro Health System | Department: Finance

Job Summary:

Responsible for education of staff within Revenue Cycle departments across the organization.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Delivers Epic training programs for Revenue Cycle end users utilizing established curriculum and training materials.
  • Conducts classroom, virtual, and individual training sessions regarding Epic system functionality, departmental workflows, and related software applications.
  • Utilizes adult learning principles to educate and support new and existing staff.
  • Administers knowledge assessments, competency evaluations, and hands-on training exercises.
  • Provides ongoing support and assistance to end users regarding standard Epic workflows and system functionality.
  • Provides in-person, telephone, and remote support to reinforce established workflows and operational processes.
  • Assists in maintaining training documentation, learning materials, schedules, and educational resources.
  • Participates in Epic education team meetings, training initiatives, and departmental activities.
  • Assists with routine reporting, system reviews, and other assigned departmental activities.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to support training delivery and user adoption efforts.
  • Utilizes Epic and HealthStream reports to identify knowledge gaps for users and identifies team members in need of coaching and proactively ensures that the applications are being used efficiently and effectively.
  • Participates in instructional design, team building, and problem-solving programs for Epic application end-users to ensure knowledge and proficient understanding to enhance the overall Revenue Cycle operations.

Position Requirements:

Work Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience required

Education

  • Associate's degree or higher or Diploma in related field required upon hire.   

Additional Education Information

  • A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • No licensure/certification/registration required
