Full job description

Special Education Teacher for a 36-week contract in Avondale, AZ. Responsible for creating and implementing individualized education plans to support students with special needs. Earn competitive pay up to $57 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs

  • Create and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning requirements

  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly

  • Collaborate with families, teachers, and support staff to optimize student success

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or related field

  • Arizona state teaching certification in Special Education or equivalent credentials

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Special Education Teacher

  • Proficiency in classroom management, IEP development, and student engagement

  • Ability to work day shifts, pass background checks, and meet physical demands of a school setting

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
