Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Implementing treatment plans as directed by physical therapists, focusing on therapeutic techniques and interventions.
• Providing pain relief treatments, restoring function, and promoting optimal physical performance for patients.
• Assisting patients through active and passive therapeutic exercises and functional training to enhance mobility and independence.
• Applying physical modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation to support recovery.
• Monitoring patient progress and reporting any changes in condition to the supervising physical therapist, ensuring that patient communication is clear and documented.

• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy assistant program with an Associate's degree in science or applied science as recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current state-certified physical therapy assistant license.
• Active CPR certification to ensure patient safety during all treatments.
• A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle that meets insurance requirements for any required travel.
