Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Loss Prevention in Englewood, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and document security-related activity using technology. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and administrators by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, student or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site-specific protocols, reporting unusual conditions or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
