Summary
Assists in the implementation and program management of both the Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Program. Develops, implements, and monitors treatment protocols and performance improvement activities. Oversees keeping up with programmatic, leading accrediting bodies and regulatory standards. Works in conjunction with both the network and local leadership to facilitate programs.

Job Duties
  • Coordinates activities to support Primary Stroke Center Certification and Chest Pain Accreditation.
  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care for stroke and chest pain patients.
  • Delivers patient care based on the medical plan of treatment for stroke and chest pain protocols.
  • Abstracts all required data elements into Stroke Registry and Chest Pain registry.
  • Assumes responsibility of data collection and data management.
  • Develops and delivers effective presentations to work teams supporting stroke and chest pain program performance improvement activities.
  • Ensures compliance with post-survey activities including Evidence of Standards Compliance development, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Serves as the local subject matter expert during accreditation and survey cycles and educates staff.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a nursing or related field.
  • 5 years experience as a medical/surgical or emergency room nursing and
  • 2 years experience with a background in neurology and/or cardiology.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Basic computer skills including data entry
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
  • RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
