Shift: 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM

Experience:

• 3 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Float Pool experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is preferred.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required with any experience within the last 12 months.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Required Credentials: Associate degree or certificate. For any RN role: if a candidate has NP licensure, ThedaCare will only consider them for an NP role, not a lower position.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with pre/post cath, post pacemaker, and TR Bands strongly preferred.

Special Requests: Any missed shift must be made up within 2 weeks of the absence.

Unit Details: Primary cases across facilities include medical/surgical, general surgical, oncology, renal, CIWA, CHF, COPD, stroke, surgical trauma, and ortho; pediatric patients are rare. TCN 5th floor: cardiac care including pre/post, heart cath, and pacemakers. TCN Neuro: stroke, post TNK, and neurosurgery. RNs are paired with support staff (LPN/CNA) based on acuity.

Shift & Scheduling: Up to every other weekend; manager is open to candidates available every weekend. Holiday rotation as needed. No call.

Floating Requirements: Will float throughout all Med/Surg units at ThedaCare Appleton and ThedaCare Neenah; may float to all ThedaCare facilities as needed, primarily ThedaCare Neenah and ThedaCare Appleton, and must be open to smaller locations as needed. Assignments are based on skillset to fill staffing needs as needed; travelers will only take patients within their skillset.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
