Job Description: Program Manager (junior / intermediate)
Position Overview: Our NYC team is seeking a skilled and dedicated Program Manager to support and oversee the development and execution of software projects within our organization. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional groups to ensure the timely and successful completion of software projects in alignment with the organization's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Agile and Scrum practices and facilitate ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).
- Collaborate with Product Owners and delivery teams on backlog grooming and task prioritization.
- Maintain project roadmaps, timelines, and dependencies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support smooth project execution and on-time delivery.
- Ensure teams have access to required tools and resources.
- Track project progress, sprint metrics, and milestones; prepare status updates for stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues proactively.
- Oversee quality assurance and promote continuous improvement.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and partners.
- Track budget and adapt plans as needed.
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience as a Program Manager or similar role in software project management.
- Strong leadership skills and a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams.
- In-depth understanding of software development methodologies, technologies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Tools: Proficiency in Jira and Confluence; Salesforce familiarity is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of Scrum, Agile, and related frameworks (Kanban, SAFe); Waterfall or hybrid exposure is beneficial.
- Strong communication, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Agile certifications (PMP, PgMP, CSM, CSPO) are a plus.
- Strategic thinker who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and skilled at guiding a team.
