Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2110 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with any experience within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Lab Completion: All health-related requirements and lab work must be completed within 5 calendar days of signing. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Phlebotomy and IV placement are required skills for any RN at Unity. Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills: interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response teams. IV therapy/phlebotomy: peripheral line care/management. Respiratory skills: nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank, non-invasive airway management. Isolation precautions. 1 year of recent experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests: Please keep RTO close to 1 week.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Patient population includes cardiovascular and wound cases. Day/evening ratios are 5:1, stretching to 6-7:1. Night ratios are expected to be 6-7:1, stretching to 8-10:1 if staff calls in. PCTs on all units do vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living. Uses Hoyer lifts and wound vacs.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend required.

Floating Requirements: Floats to MS, ICU, and ED. If floated to ICU or ED, it is to care for Med/Surg level patients or to be helping hands; will not practice outside of scope.
