As a TIG Welder, you'll work with titanium aerospace castings, performing precision weld repairs in an argon-atmosphere chamber. This is a hands-on position where welding skill, precision, attention to detail, and quality are critical.

Titanium TIG welding experience is required for this position.

What You'll Do

As a TIG Welder, you'll be responsible for repairing titanium castings and helping ensure they meet strict aerospace specifications.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform TIG welding on titanium castings inside an argon-atmosphere chamber.
• Repair castings according to established procedures and specifications.
• Use precision tools such as calipers and profile templates to accurately complete repairs.
• Work collaboratively with your team to develop and execute rework plans that bring castings back into specification.
• Use a grinder to shape tungsten electrodes.
• Safely load and unload castings from the welding chamber.
• Maintain welding equipment and your work area in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Follow all applicable procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

This is a skilled welding position, and prior titanium TIG welding experience is required.

Qualified candidates will have:

• Completion of a formal vocational welding program or more than one year of TIG welding experience.
• Prior titanium TIG welding experience required.
• Ability to successfully pass a welding test within four weeks of starting employment.
• Ability to pass an annual eye examination.
• Basic high-school level math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to use small, precision tools.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain continuous visual and mental focus.
• Ability to accurately understand measurements and use measurement tools.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable attendance and a solid employment history.
• High school diploma or GED; candidates without a diploma or GED who have relevant experience may be considered.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to bend, lift, push, and pull while loading and unloading castings from the chamber, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment background check.
• Willingness to participate in pre-employment drug screening.

Work Environment

You'll work in a professional aerospace manufacturing environment with some exposure to:

• Manufacturing machinery
• Noise
• Varying temperatures
• Welding and industrial equipment

This position requires employees to maintain a high level of concentration and visual attention while performing precision welding work.

Schedule

Swing Shift – Monday–Thursday
3:30 PM – 2:15 AM
$1.00/hour shift differential

Overtime opportunities are available based on business needs.
