Job Description:

Position Summary:


The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial reporting process, while supporting local and global accounting initiatives. This role will support core accounting operations in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and play a key part in ensuring strong internal controls and continuous process improvement across domestic and international operations.

 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


  • Support day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger responsibilities, close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting;
  • Prepare journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations;
  • Support the monthly close process and monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting;
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies;
  • Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation for external auditors;
  • Support tax-related reporting by coordinating with internal and external partners;
  • Analyze monthly financial results, providing insight regarding key drivers of variances;
  • Partner cross-functionally on accounting-related initiatives and special projects;
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed following requirements from local and global accounting leadership;
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls, and enhance reporting efficiency.

 

Skills and Abilities


  • Good knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP);
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; advanced MS Excel skills required;
  • Previous experience working with accounting software;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills;
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and deliver on expectations;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills. 

 

Education and Additional Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • CPA preferred
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a mix of public accounting and industry preferred

Special Requirements


  • International travel may be required (and maintain a current passport)
  • Evening and weekend hours may be required

 

Salary Range

 

  • $80,000 - $95,000; position is bonus eligible
