Mailroom Scanning Associate
Onsite | Lexington, KY | $16/hour
Location: 2432 Fortune Drive, Lexington KY 40509
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM until clean desk; occasional Saturdays may be required
Shift: First shift
About the Role

Conduent is hiring Mailroom Scanning Associates to join our onsite production team in Lexington, KY.
In this hands-on role, you’ll help transform incoming and outgoing documents into electronic workflows by preparing, sorting, scanning, and processing document stacks with accuracy and efficiency.
You’ll work in a structured, team-oriented environment where reliability, attention to detail, accuracy, and productivity are essential. No prior scanning experience is required. Paid, on-the-job training is provided.
A Typical Day
You’ll begin your day by clocking in, preparing your workstation, and getting your scanning equipment ready for operation.
Throughout the day, you will:
- Prepare and organize stacks of documents for scanning.
- Load prepared document stacks into high-speed scanning equipment.
- Scan documents accurately into electronic workflows.
- Follow established quality and processing procedures.
- Review your work to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Clean and perform routine maintenance on scanning equipment.
- Repeat the scanning and processing workflow to help meet daily production expectations.
- Work independently while contributing to the success of the overall production team.
The work is structured and process-driven, making consistency, focus, and attention to detail important parts of the job.
What You’ll Do
As a Mailroom Scanning Associate, you will:
- Scan document stacks into electronic workflows accurately and efficiently.
- Sort and prepare documents according to established procedures.
- Operate scanning equipment and follow required operating procedures.
- Clean and maintain scanning machines on a daily basis.
- Perform work according to quality standards and customer expectations.
- Maintain productivity while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Follow procedures for handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Work independently while contributing to a team-oriented production environment.
- Adapt to changing priorities and production needs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer knowledge, including PC navigation and common software.
- The ability to follow detailed sorting and processing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- The ability to stay focused while performing repetitive production tasks.
- Good organizational and multitasking skills.
- Dependability and a strong commitment to attendance and punctuality.
- The ability to learn new systems, equipment, and processes.
- The ability to work the required schedule, including occasional Saturdays when needed.
- A minimum typing speed of 20 words per minute.
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring visa transfer or sponsorship.
- The ability to successfully complete required background screening and drug testing.
Important Onsite Requirements
This is a fully onsite position in a secure production environment.
Because our associates work with sensitive and confidential information, Conduent maintains a no-phone and no-bag policy on the production floor.
Employees will have access to lockers for personal belongings. Personal phones, bags, and similar items must remain secured outside the production area or in an employee's vehicle.
Lunch periods are unpaid.

Pay Transparency
Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $26,600-$32,250.
