Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 2 years of travel experience is required.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Massachusetts license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Knowledge of cardiac drips and ability to interpret Tele strips required.

Unit Details: Patients may be admitted from the ED, transferred from other units, or directly admitted by a physician. Patients are often on Cardizem drips, Nitroglycerin drips, Lasix drips, and Heparin drips. The unit cares for NSTEMI, post-pacemaker, and post-cardiac catheterization patients, both with and without interventions. Primary diagnoses include CHF, atrial fibrillation, pulmonary embolism, and pneumonia; the unit also cares for patients with EtOH and dementia with cardiac comorbidities, along with occasional surgical patients. Nursing care for patients post-cardiac catheterization and pacemaker is needed but not required. Day and evening shifts have an RN-to-patient ratio of 1:4, with a maximum of 5 patients; the night shift has a 1:5-6 ratio.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. This role is a rotating shift. Day rotators may be rotated between (7a-7p, 11a-11p or 7p-7a) when needed. Rotation frequency is usually low. Night positions do not rotate.

Floating Requirements: Travelers are required to float to applicable units when needed.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

Proof of identification required

Certifications:
