Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer currently has a Machine Operator opportunity at Ellsworth Adhesives. This role reports into our TapeCase Division located in Elk Grove Village, IL.

At TapeCase, we design, convert, manufacture, and distribute highly engineered adhesive tape products. We add value to the highly engineered products we sell by enhancing their delivered formats by offering expansive tape converting services to provide a custom tape solution for nearly any application. You will set up and safely operates production machinery. Along with participate in continuous improvement efforts

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sets up and safely operates production machinery  

  • Inspects production machinery and troubleshoots minor issues 

  • Performs necessary preventative maintenance 

  • Conducts quality inspections at the source 

  • Performs changeovers of dies, gear assemblies and pump filters 

  • Sets up dispensing production machinery  

  • Safely operates required power and hand tools 

  • Troubleshoots and reports corrective actions after rectifying machine issues 

  • Dispense molten adhesives onto paper lines during the production process

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of production work experience 

  • 3 years of production work experience preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalency. An equivalent combination of job experience and education may be considered. 

  • Forklift certification is required within 3 months of hire 

  • Ability to read 

  • Basic Math 

  • Ability to learn how to operate machinery 

  • Ability to provide basic maintenance to machinery 

  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
