As a PTA, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals to recover mobility, regain independence, and achieve their therapeutic goals through tailored physical therapy plans.
About the Organization

Our multidisciplinary team prides itself on delivering high-quality care through innovative methodologies and evidence-based practices. We are dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where both patients and staff thrive, ensuring personalized care that meets the diverse needs of the communities we serve.
Work Environment
This full-time position will be carried out onsite in a dynamic hospital environment. Our facility is equipped with advanced rehabilitation technologies, providing a conducive space for therapeutic interventions. You will collaborate with a variety of healthcare professionals, including licensed Physical Therapists, nursing staff, and wellness coordinators, to create and implement comprehensive treatment strategies for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with licensed Physical Therapists to execute individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific rehabilitation needs.
- Perform hands-on patient care involving therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance enhancement, and mobility support to facilitate recovery.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, responses to therapy, and any changes in condition, ensuring thorough communication with the supervising PT.
- Educate patients and their caregivers regarding safe practices, follow-up exercises, and home safety strategies to encourage independence.
- Work cohesively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic and patient-centered care delivery, aimed at maximizing patients' functional outcomes and well-being.
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of therapy sessions and patient progress in compliance with Medicare and facility guidelines, ensuring accountability and quality assurance.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will primarily work with hospital patients including those recovering from surgery, trauma, strokes, and other acute medical conditions. Your compassionate care will be instrumental in helping patients navigate their recovery journeys, particularly during critical moments when they need motivation and support the most. You will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on their long-term mobility and quality of life.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited program.

While experience with geriatric populations or in long-term care settings is preferred, it is not a requirement. Candidates who have applied their PTA skill set in various clinical environments will be highly regarded. More importantly, a sincere passion for helping patients regain their lives through structured rehabilitation will set you apart.
