Full job description
Responsibilities:
- Independently assemble larger structural components and systems.
- Perform complex part-fitting tasks including precise drilling and riveting.
- Conduct inspections of assembled parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues as they arise.
- Assist in training and mentoring entry-level technicians.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used.
- Work closely with engineers and supervisors to ensure project accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly processes.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
- Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch.
- Experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting techniques, and repair and refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal, as applicable.
- Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks.

Qualifications We Prefer:
- Associate’s degree in aerospace manufacturing or related discipline.
- Advanced certifications in aerospace assembly techniques.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Required to be on your feet for most of the work shift.
- Use of hand and power tools requiring hand/finger dexterity.
- Exposure to noisy and potentially hazardous environments; proper safety gear must be worn.
- Ability to travel may be required.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $26.39 - $36.29. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.SNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
