Full job description
Special Education Teacher contract position in Amherst, New Hampshire for a 36-week assignment. The role offers competitive hourly pay up to $58, with weekly direct deposit and a suite of benefits to support professional growth and work-life balance. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' needs.
Collaborate with co-teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
Manage classroom behavior to ensure a positive learning environment.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
Qualifications:
Certified as Special Education Teacher (1900).
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Special Education Law.
Experience in middle school settings.
Knowledge and experience in MTSS and Competency-Based Grading.
Strong communication, adaptability, and knowledge of co-teaching models.
Physical ability to occasionally move around school facilities.
Background checks required.
Preferred Skills:
Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Certification (1833).
3+ years of experience in a similar role.
