Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

If your start date is within 90 days, you must complete all labs within 72 hours of signing an offer with MUSC.

Required Skills/Experience: Community hospital experience is required. Proficient in coronary diagnostic/intervention scrub and monitor. Fuji Vidistar.

Preferred Skills/Experience: MAC Lab.

Required Credentials: If you have RCIS, state license is not required.

Special Requests: RTO is due at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs. Any candidate that has 7+ days and/or includes holiday RTO will have to be submitted to the facility for approval and can delay the process. Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September. If unavailable for emergency response duties, please do not confirm new assignments or extensions during this period.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Daily caseload per tech: We run 4 to 5 labs per day with 2-3 CVT per lab. Case load is around 20-25 cases per day. Diagnostic & interventional Coronary Cath, Diagnostic and Interventional Vascular, Angioplasty, Shockwave, Temp Pacer, IABP, Impella, Carotid angiogram, atherectomy, intravascular US (IVUS), FFR/IFR, Pericardiocentesis, cardiac biopsies.

Shift & Scheduling: Rotating 4x10hrs day shifts (0700-1730 & 0930-2000) but varies as we stay until procedures are complete. All team members rotate the shifts but not from day to day; later shifts are grouped together into one week for consistency, and the following week may be on 1st shift. Call required: one weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun) per 7 weeks and a call shift and evening shift every week. Call requirements may change based on staffing needs. Holidays as needed.
