About the Position
We are seeking a CDL B Driver for our client in Holtsville, NY. The position offers a flat rate of $265 per day. This role requires 4 years of recent CDL driving experience and at least 1 year of touch freight experience.
Pay & Schedule
- Flat Rate: $265 per day, averaging $1,325 per week
- Start Time: 4:00 AM - 4:30 AM
- Work Schedule: 5-day work week with mandatory Saturdays; 1 day off midweek
Job Details
- Handling: Hand cart/pallet jack unload, including up and down stairs/into basements
- Average Day: 8 – 10 hours
- Delivery Area: Primarily New York (including the boroughs), with potential overflow to New Jersey and Connecticut
- Stops: Averaging 10 – 14 stops per day
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate an automatic reefer straight truck
- Deliver freight to restaurants, hospitals, schools, etc.
- Unload freight using hand carts and pallet jacks
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all safety regulations
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CDL B
- 4+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
